Feeling Like on Top of the World at Swiss-Garden Residences Kuala Lumpur

If there is one thing I always love about staying at a high-class hotel, it has to be the infinity pool. This is because I love dipping in the water. Swimming relaxes my mind, body and soul. Thankfully, Swiss-Garden Residences Kuala Lumpur has that all and it happens to be one of their best facilities, in my opinion.
Of course, staying at places like Swiss-Garden Residences Kuala Lumpur don’t come cheap. But with me being one of the members of the SGI Vacation Club, I’m happy with all the special rates and privileges that the club has to offer. Suffice to say, it is value for money.
Now, back to the infinity pool. Located on the sixth floor of the Swiss-Garden Residences Kuala Lumpur, the pool is wide and spacious. It was well-decorated with all the palm trees to make you feel cosy while you’re dipping in the cool blue water.
Best of all, I enjoy looking at the KL skylines as well as all the traffics and peoples down below. All this while floating in the vast infinity pool. It truly feels like a paradise in the city.
When the sun goes down, the overall picturesque setting surrounding the infinity pool is both lively and spectacular.
Completing the experience is enjoying my favourite iced drink while chilling on the bench nearby the infinity pool. It’s really good to unwind, especially if you love swimming at the hotel. Whether you come here alone, just like myself or perhaps with your loved one or your family, the infinity pool is perfect enough for everybody.

When I told my experience to some of my friends, they were envious how I could afford to stay such a place. Then I introduced them the SGI Vacation Club and mention to them every benefit they can get if they register as a member. Sure, joining the membership itself isn’t cheap but come to think of it, if you travel a lot throughout the year, SGI Vacation Club can help you save a lot of money. After all, why merely settle for the old-school hotel booking every time you are planning a vacation?

Swiss-Inn Johor Bahru is a Good Place for Both Business and Pleasure

As a fan of Swiss-Garden, I have stayed at some of their hotels and resorts in KL, Melaka, Kuantan and Sungai Petani since I often travel for both business and pleasure.
Earlier this year, I found out the Swiss-Garden has opened their new branch in Johor Bahru. Then, a few months ago, I was coincidentally having a business meeting with my Singaporean client at Johor Bahru. So, naturally, I told my client to meet up at Swiss-Inn Johor Bahru since I’m planning to utilise my SGI Vacation Club to book a room for one night.
True to their world-class reputation, Swiss-Inn Johor Bahru provides more than just a room stay. For a business person like myself, this inn has it all since they offer essential services and various types of meeting venues. So, I end up taking the half-day meeting package and booked a spot called “The Little Small Space” meeting room. I took a classroom since it able to fit a capacity up to 30 peoples comfortably. With white screen and flip chart readily available inside the boardroom, I was able to showcase my business presentation to my Singapore client alongside his other co-partners with relative ease. Everything went as smooth as I wanted it to be.
Now, you might be asking, what’s in the half-day meeting package? Well, the package was inclusive of coffee, snack and lunch. But that’s not all as it also comes with things like complimentary drinking bottles, mints, writing pads and even microphone with PA system.
After a half day’s worth of business meeting with my client, I spend the rest of my day chilling out at the inn. Yeah, I’m just too lazy to hang around outside the inn since it was awfully jammed at the Johor Bahru city centre. I took a short nap back in my room before I decided to make way to fill up my stomach at Rilek the Cafe during dinnertime. The cafe is located at the Level 1 and I understand it opens until late at night (11pm, if I’m not mistaken) during the weekdays. I know they provide 12-hour room service as well where I could call for that instead. But since I need to stretch my legs as well, why not going down to the cafe itself?
So, here’s what I thought about the cafe. They definitely weren’t kidding about using the word “rilek” within the name of their cafe. For the uninitiated, “rilek” literally means “relax” in English. Not only the cafe is spacious (I read it from somewhere it can fit up to 170 peoples!), but I’m particularly impressed with the open-kitchen concept as well as the dining area that feels like home sweet home.

Price-wise, it was reasonable enough for a hotel or an inn like this one in Johor Bahru. That evening I happen to call one of my JB friends for dinner. So, we end up ordering a “Super Deal” set dinner for two persons totalled at RM48 nett. Not bad, I would say. The set comes with rice, grilled fish, oxtail soup, mixed vegetables, fried omelettes and fruits platter. For a price like that, the set is sufficient enough for the both of us. Not to mention the food tastes good and delicious. Best of all, with my SGI Vacation Club, I was entitled to get 20% discount on F&B. Talk about value for money.
